GLOWSTICK
Scope: Create visual identity for upstart company, Glowstick, who produces alcoholic freeze pops.
Step 1: User profiles designed to narrow down the intended customer that would purchase Glowstick.
Step 2: Stylescape. An enhanced form of a moodboard that shows curated examples of typography, style and color palette. The examples chosen are based on the user profiles as well as keywords that were brainstormed between myself and the client to describe the brand. Three distinct styles were curated to be narrowed to one direction.
Step 3: Sketches. The client and I chose which stylescape best fit the brand. The next step is sketching based on feedback on the stylescape.
Step 3-2: Sketch ideas presented. The sketches were quickly vectorized in Illustrator to be mocked up on merchandise to show the client how the idea could function in the real world. Three ideas were presented. Notes were taken on each sketch to begin work on the final design.
Step 4: A custom word mark was created based off the letterforms of a chisel point marker.
Step 5: Final design brought into Illustrator to vectorize, clean up and add color.
